Christmas Wrap-Up!

I'd like to say that a lot has been going on since my last post, but honestly I've just been working my ass off. I apologize to the 3 of you that actually read this for not updating it more regularly like I used to!!

So Christmas this year was totally different than any other year for a couple of reasons:
1. My parents are divorced thus making it a pain in the you-know-what about whose house to go to, how much time to spend where, blah blah
2. It's my first Christmas with Tim aka my SEXXXYYY fiancé
3. I decided to skip out on that awkward-ness that is my family to go to New York and spend the holiday with Tim's family.

BUT before I went to New York, I did get to see my mom the week before in Las Vegas. Mom's birthday is Christmas day and I felt bad that I wasnt going to be there for her. Thankfully she and Marty flew me out to Vegas to meet them. :-) Everybody knows how much I love Vegas!!

The people at the Palazzo know us REAL well :-)

love my momma!

NEW YORK: I was SO SO SO glad to be getting the hell out of Oregon for a bunch of reasons but one in particular was so that I could FINALLY spend some time with Tim. He has been working 90 hour weeks at the restaurant leaving no time for us to talk or just enjoy each other's company. However, this was our first time traveling together on a plane and for those if you that know Tim, knows that he does not do crowds or people in general. So, I knew there was no way we could get through security and to the gate without getting in an argument and damn if I wasnt right! After Tim's crankiness, we finally made it onto the plane and away we went! I made Tim sit in the middle seat and he and the lady next to him became sleeping buddies.

Hahahaha I couldn't help myself!

So after landing in Newark we had to make the train to Penn station to meet Tim's sister, Alison, to get on the next train all the way out to long island where Tim's dad was picking us up to drive anothere 30 min and FINALLY get to Tim's grandmother's house! It was a long day of travel!

The next two days were filled with food, wine, meeting the extended family, champagne, more wine, a nice walk down the beach, more food, and more wine! It was so nice and relaxing being at Tim's grandmother's house that I almost didn't want to leave but I knew we had a big day planned in the city and I was SO pumped for that!!!

tim was mid-blink! but i fell in love with these kids!

we did a lot of drinking
NYC::::::  So Monday morning we left Laurel to head to the city with Tim's sister. We drove in straight to her apartment in Brooklyn to drop off our things before getting lunch. Thankfully we got front row parking in front of her place, so we ditched the car and got ready for my first NYC subway experience!! We took the subway to Times Square so I could take a few tourist pictures. Alison was cracking me up talking about the tourists (people like me) who just stand in the middle of the walkway taking pictures and hold up traffic. That woman walks with a PURPOSE! She was weaving through all kinds of traffic and I was snappin pics on the move so I wouldn't be one of "those people". haha it was hilarious.

After lunch we headed over to go see Avenue Q! It was absolutely HILARIOUS! It's like an adult parody of Sesame Street with a combination of people and puppets. Alison bought us the tickets for our christmas present and it was definitely something we'll always remember. GREAT GIFT!

I told Tim when we booked our tickets to New York that all I wanted for Christmas was a picture of us in front of the big Christmas tree in Rockefeller center... well folks, my wish came true!!!

Hope everyones Christmas was as wonderful as mine filled with love and happiness!!!
