lily the terror!!!!!!

Reintroducing  LILY THE TERROR!!!!

Now, don't let that sweet, precious, I wanna cuddle with you all night face fool you. THIS LITTLE GIRL IS A HANDFUL! Dogs are worse than children I have a feeling. (Can't really judge seeing as how I have no babies in my life) But I think Lily is the equivalent to a baby. I can't go 5 seconds without watching her that she is either into something, chewing, or peeing on the floor. UGH!!!  I will give her this: She now knows (due to my recent beatings i've given her) that peeing on the floor is bad. very bad. After I caught her squatting yesterday she immediately ducked her head and ran back to her kennel.

Anyway, back to her being a terror. Tim is here until about 230 with the dogs. Now, I'm not exactly sure what happened today... I have a feeling he fell asleep without Lily being in her kennel. BUT, this is what I came home to today:
Please try not to be jealous of the beautiful air mattress ok!

and please pardon the crappy iphone quality pics
Yes, this was at one time a great rope toy that is now nothing but string thrown all over the bedroom. How does one do this??? PUPPY TEETH! I mean, big black Jack probably assisted a little bit in the act but come on dogs.. really? I picked up most of the chunks of string but I'm thinking I might leave the random strings for Tim to vacuum since I just vacuumed yesterday! ;-) Even after I yelled at her she still was like "eh whatever i'll keep chewin.
Yes, that is a shake weight. Special gift from my brother.

But yeah, Lily is a handful. Even Jack can't take her sometimes and has to put her in a head lock....

yup... that lily's entire neck he has in his mouth.
I'm looking forward to the days where she's out of this stupid puppy stage. I have to confess that even after all the early mornings and pee-pee pickups, I love the you-know-what out of this little girl!!!! Look how cute she was when she was too scared to jump off the air mattress!

See, I still love my puppy!

lovey dovey stuff

So, I have to add to this and share it with everyone. After reading what one of my sisters Taylor posted in her blog I caught myself nodding my head saying "DANG GIRL YOU'RE EXACTLY RIGHT!!" So I just wanted to share what she had to say about love and relationships.

HOW DO YOU KNOW?

"But, probably the question I get most often is, "How do you know you're in love?"

Truth is, I don't. Truth is, no body every really knows if they are "in love." The feeling is just too close of a feeling to others like, lust and infatuation. Many people have tried to describe how love feels. Some say it's like butterflies in your stomach, some say it's like being up in the clouds, and still others say it's like fireworks. Many people have tried to explain what love is. Some say love is holding on with all your might, some say love is letting go. With as many descriptions as we have today, not to mention all the songs, their is no way to know for sure whether or not you are in love...But as you would expect of me, I have thought very long and hard on, how I know I am in love.

He's what I've come up with. You are in love if during your partner's lowest you don't think of them any less and during their highest you don't think of them any more. Meaning, the feeling you feel for them is the same in their time of giving and their time of receiving. You may like them more or less depending, but if the same root feeling (which I would argue is love) stays the same throughout, I believe you are in love.

Here's another thought. No body is perfect. No body. But, if you see another's flaws as part of why you "love" them, I think they are perfect for you. I do believe there is a "perfect" person out there for everyone. But, don't be mistaken, if you think someone is perfect for you and they don't think you are perfect for each other, then you are not meant to be, sorry. It is only when there is a mutual vision of perfection that two people are indeed meant for each other.

Side note:Don't let yourself think you know better than God. He knows who you need to be with, he created both of you after all....if it doesn't workout then you just have to know you are 1 person closer to finding the one God has custom made for you.

Bottom line:Love is something you have to evaluate for yourself. Nobody knows better than you if you are in love. Good luck." -GirlsWearPearls

  • That's straight from her blog if you wanna follow her she has GREAT insights!!! After reading that I just could not agree more. Coming from a few pretty serious relationships I think there were times when I thought I was REALLY in love and knew what I wanted out of a relationship. Now, looking back on those failed relationships I see how it was either a different kind of love or I just thought I was in love with someone but really it was just a comfort feeling.

BUT:  Without those failed relationships I wouldn't have learned all that I have. It's because of those failed relationships that I have no doubt in my mind, 100% clarity that I found what true LOVE really is. It's the best feeling in the world to have that person in your life that you don't want to go a day without. The person you want to make yourself better for. The person that can bring you up when everything else around you is down. Your best friend. That's love and I got it!!!!! Thanks again to my sister Taylor for her great words!!!!!

HAPPY HUMP DAY EVERYONE!!!

Waiting, waiting, stilllllll waiting!

As I'm sitting here in this cute little house with its nice wood floors,  granite countertops, and fenced in backyard, I can't help but think... DAMN my furniture is going to look SO GOOD in here. Yes that's right folks.

WE STILL HAVE NO FURNITURE.
NO CLOTHES.
NO KITCHEN UTENSILS.
NOTHING!

Yes, yes we have lived here for 12... repeat 12 days now. That's 12 days on an air mattress. 12 days eating out or frozen foods. 12 days!!!! With 8 more to go! All that is in this precious house is an air matress, a stool, an x box, and a little 19 in flat screen tv that I desperately needed so I wouldnt go insane. Living out of only 1 suitcase is insulting to my closet. I'm dying without options. I just want my bed, my couch, my THINGS!!! It doesnt help my home sickness when none of my stuff is even here to make me feel better.

So the liars, thieves, incompetent, slow, movers said that our stuff should go out on a truck the 20th and arrive in Portland by the 24th. I've called these people trying to get answers and nothing is set in stone. I AM SO FRUSTRATED. like reallly?????? I thought the whole point of me booking a reservation with a moving company was that someone could pick up my stuff the day I needed and drive STRAIGHT to Portland. If I would have known my stuff was gonna get taken to Houston then sit in a warehouse somewhere where its a million degrees and wait for an 18 wheeler to come into town I would have booked someone else or done it myself. (not really myself, i'm worthless when it comes to lifting things) BUT seriously it's a little ridiculous at this point. I'M PISSED!

So I guess now it's just back to the waiting game... AHHhhh! I might go insane soon. As soon as I get some furniture in this place I BETTER GET SOME VISITORS!! :-) pretty please?

It's been too long!!! MOVE AND A BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!

So, as most of you know the past month has been pretty crazy for me.. but I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!! Tim, Jack and I finally made it Oregon. WOOOOOOO Oregon!

It's gonna take a little while for me to get used to calling it "home" but like they always say..
and thank goodness my heart came with me! As korny as this sounds I can already tell this move has made us a whole lot closer. We spent 4 consecutive days together moving/traveling in a car and didn't get into a single argument... Yeah four days might not seem like a long time.. BUT anyone who knows how stressful moving can be knows what I'm talking about. It was a great accomplishment.

Our drive was long, yes, but honestly SO MUCH FUN!!!!! I forgot how funny my boyfriend was. I had cramps from laughing at him so much. Yes, most of his humor was at my expense, but if you can't laugh at yourself then what's the point in humor? right? Anywho, it was a great 40 hours + of driving time. Here is a map of our route from Texas- Oregon:

yeah... 2400 miles. ugh

We ended up not even leaving Texas until Friday night at 9:30. I was so pissed about our movers showing up so late but soon realized there was nothing i could do about it so I just gave up stressing over it. We drove until 3:30 am  to Amarillo and slept for 3 hours at this nasty Days Inn. Just a note to everyone: Amarillo smells like shit. Just sayin.... it was nasty. The next day we drove through Colorado, we stopped in Evergreen outside of Denver to see Tim's friend Sam. He just moved back to Colorado from Plano so it was good to see him. We spent the night in Rawlings, Wyoming. TALK ABOUT A SKETCHY PLACE! woooo.. i'll let you watch the video to see for yourself but my oh my I'm so glad we survived that town. The next day.. the BEST day.. was YELLOWSTONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before we got to the park Tim had mentioned that he had always wanted to see a bear in the wild... so of course I was like "oh yeahhhh that be so cool". Thinking "ok the chances of that happening are probably pretty slim". Tim joked saying that if we saw a bear it would be a sign that our relationship would last forever.. haha he's a loser i know. So we're hardly into the Grand Teton park when BAM! on the side of the road there is a large group of people looking at something in the forest so we get out to go check it out and what is it?? what is it?? A FREAKING GRIZZLY BEAR! We both got so excited. I jumped and did a lil dance, we high fived (super lame), we left Jack in the car with the windows down... (oops) So yeah.. I told Tim anytime we get in a fight now that I'm gonna say "but the BEAR!!! you can't break up with me.. REMEMBER THE BEAR!!!!" haha ahhhh good times. But Yellowstone was some of the most beautiful earth I've ever seen. It was such a fun day with my best friend.

Monday 4th of July was an ass whipping. We had 10 hours to Portland and by that time we were so sick  of the road it was unbelievable. We stopped in Idaho to go check out these hot springs. There were hippies where we parked and so we were a lil sketched out then we got to the trail to see that there was a "caution: you may encounter nude hikers" sign... lets just say i was a lil worried but no we didnt see and nakies.. just some weirdos :-) But yeah that was the highlight of that day. Once we made it Portland we went by our new house even though we didnt get our keys to the next day. It was pretty exciting. But we stayed Monday & Tuesday night at my boss' house. She is so awesome. I love her. She and her husband have this incredible home with a lower level basement that could possibly be bigger than our house. It's like it's own little apartment in their house. So we've stayed there two nights and I'm pretty sure Tim just wants to move in there instead. Luckily she had an airbed that she gave us and sheets and comforter so we can stay at our own place... But we have a lot of work to do on our house and HOPEFULLY the movers arrive with our stuff sooner than later cuz no furniture is no fun sleeping on an air matress!...

Below is the link to my YouTube channel with some of the videos of our adventure we have titled "Death by Moving" starring Tim Jessica and Jack! Check them out!  :-) This link goes to the 1st video then on the righ they should be in order.. they're all numbered so you know which way to go.... (yes dad those were instructions for your computer-illiterate self) LOVE YOU! ;-) and a big thank you to my daddy for buying me the flip camera. it was great!

AND NOW THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR: (drum roll please)...................

I FINALLY GOT A PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! she is too cute for words! I pick her up tonight from the Oregon Humane Society and I will for sure be posting loads and loads and loads of pics/videos of her. Stay tuned to meet her! :-)

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!!!

oh my goodness guys.....

I cannot even put into words the stress that is consuming my body right now. My brain feels like someone is stomping on it. I wish I could be in Texas for two reasons right now.....
  1. I need a margarita from Baja like there is no tomorrow
AND

   2.    I need a hug from either my mom, dad, or Tim so I can at least feel a little better about the next 10 days.

Ok so let me explain..............
I got to Oregon on Monday to do a sort of meet & greet with my new territory. Also on the agenda is to find a house for us to live in. SO MUCH HARDER THAN YOU THINK. In Texas I feel like there are rental homes out the wazoo. Not the case in Portland. I have called on so many houses that already have applications filled out and waiting lists to back them up. SERIOUSLY? really? I can't catch a break. Luckily I have off all day tomorrow to go house hunting and I have a few showings lined up but if I don't find something tomorrow I just might be royally SCREWED. Oh did I mention I have to be in Portland permanently by July 4. Yeah, stress!!! No time to dilly dally around I NEED A HOUSE!

Another thing I have been freaking out about is finding a reputable moving company to actually be able to move us on such short notice across the frickin country. I've been going back and forth with different moving companies and honestly don't have a good feeling about the one I ended up booking but please PLEASE PLEASE say a little prayer that they show up at our apartment next week. So, the issue of finding a moving company may have been resolved but I also have some hesitations about whether or not it's going to work out smoothly.. ugh more stress...

Lastly, I have gotten to meet with a lot of my new accounts and I'm starting to really see just how REAL this new transition is going to be. I am going to be putting so much into this job. There are so many things that outside people don't see when it comes to this job. From the outside it may look like Territory Managers just drive around all day seeing dealers and taking people to lunch... but I am here to tell you that is SO WRONG! I want to do so well and represent my training program the best way I know how and that is to give this job my everything. Again, say a little prayer for me and my territory. Stress to succeed far surpasses moving stress!

I have to thank my family. My mom and dad have been really helpful. I've delegated certain tasks for them and they've been awesome. My dad sold my car for me for way more than expected and that was a HUGE relief. Except for now I'm not so sure what to do about this weekend when I have so much stuff to do with no car... uhhhh?? The poor guy who's gotten the worst end of this whole "Jessica madness" is Tim. I feel so bad for him. He has just kinda been hanging out waiting on me to give him moving dates, find us a house, find him a job in Portland, and deal with my ranting about this whole crazy week. Gotta love him.

On a beautful note look at how cool this view of downtown is...
Over and Out from Portland Y'all!!!!

Utah Adventures!!

How ironic that as I'm sitting here starting to write this post this song comes on Pandora...... Instant tears.

I still have a couple of weeks before I move but I'm already turning into a basket case. I was so excited for my promotion at first that I didn't stop to think about what it really meant. I'm moving TWO THOUSAND MILES from my family. Yeah, I went out of state for college but it was 5 hours away and I couldnt even go a month without coming home at least once. This is so different. This is packing up my entire life and moving across the country. Don't get me wrong I'm so excited to have this opportunity but holy mother and I am gonna miss Texas. The saddest part is that I only have 5 days that I know of for sure where I'll actually be home before I move. Next weekend for fathers day and the weekend after that. HOMEGIRL HAS DEFINITELY BEEN RACKIN UP THE FREQUENT FLYER MILES!!!! A sweet ass vacation is definitely in my near/ or distant future haha. Ok enough sad thoughts about moving on to my Utah Adventure!

So lucky lil ol me gets to spend 11 B-E-A-UTIFUL days in Salt Lake City for work. I'm moving into the Territory Manager role in July and so Lennox is wanting me to get as much training in as I can before the big move. Soooooooo I have this whole weekend here in Salt Lake with no one I know and nothing to do so this week after work I decided to go for a walk and a lil hike.
This day I found this park that had an incredible view and that ran along the Jordan River.. It was a nice trail :-)

tumbleweed thingy's along the bank of the river.. heyyyy THUMBS UP!

Here is a picture/video documentation for your enjoyment of my hike today. Let's just say I was a huge wussy illprepared. I left my water in  the car. I had ZERO traction in my Nike Shox (it was steeper than i thought) and the altitude got to my fat ass me haha. WINDED out of shape to say the least.
Here we go up the stairs!!!

stupid iphone does  not do this justice!

makin my way....
The sun  was starting to go down and it was GORGEOUS!

Trying to get traction and side step my way down = accidentally snapping photos
Little did I know that after that last video you couldnt see the GRAVEL i was standing on. It really was hard to get back down because I had nothing to hold on to.. my beloved iphone in hand AND my rental car keys. Deadly combination. ha! Ok Well that's all I got for now. What's the plan for Saturday you ask? I have no clue. Shopping, working out? more hiking? unlikely BUT give me some ideas if you guys know of things to do in these neck of the woods!

SEE YOU ON THE 16 TEXAS!!! :-)

damn straight.
