3.  I like  my boyfriend     because,    he knows what little things can make me smile .

4.   supercalifragilisticexpialidocious   is a funny word.

5.  If I had to choose one beauty product to use for the rest of eternity it would be    mascara. it's all you need .

6.  I'm happy that    it's Friday and I get to sleep in tomorrow. I'm exhausted   .

7.  I would never     pick up a hitchhiker. THERE ARE SO MANY IN OREGON. no way no how  would I let some stranger get into my car with me    .

weekend recap

Surprisingly I had a really good weekend. Once I got over my bad mood Friday I was golden. Tim went to Corvallis for the weekend to hangout with his friend Blaine, so that left it up to me Jack and Lily to hold down the fort. Saturday we woke up, cleaned up the house a little bit, then I decided "hey, it's a beautiful day outside in the lovely PDX, let's go hang outside by the Columbia River. So I found a swim beach on the Washington side of the river that was only about 45 minutes away. (I could probably throw a rock in the columbia from my house if I wanted to but the really pretty area is the Gorge which is about 30 miles east of Portland, hence why it took me so long to get there). Anywho, so we went to the beach and the dogs got to frolick in the water and roll in the sand. Well, this was a great idea until I realized "ahhh shit they got to get back in my car and drive all the way home" . Thank the lord for oversized towels. I covered up my backseat and they passed out the whole way home. Overall, it was a fun afternoon. I got sun, the dogs got to play in the water, they got baths when we got home, and snowflake (my car) got a bath too. Here are some pics of our fun time at the river gorge.
Lily girl all soaked from swimmin

this just doesn't even do it justice as to how gorgeous this area is. I was on  the Washington side so this is a view of  Oregon <3

Jack was a sleep bear after running all over the place

pretty puppies after their baths :-) they make everything better <3
So after that whole fiasco I decided I was NOT gonna sit home on a Saturday night like a lame ass. So I went and saw a movie by myself..... like a lame ass. Yeah yeah yeah I'm a loser I know but whatever, it was better than sitting at home. SO anyway, I saw The Help. I thought it was such a great movie!!!! Not only did I cry- 3 times but who's counting- but I laughed, and just felt really moved by the whole thing. It was great! So after the movie I came back home to my pups and we played around for a little bit. I baked cookies, drank some delicious Miller Lite aluminum can beers and didn't go to sleep until 4 am. Successful night? I'd say so.
HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND?
I saw this on Pinterest today so I'll share with everyone because I think it is spot on, so true!!

                                                     Have a great week everyone!!!

Fill in the Blank Friday!!!!!!!

Well TGIF errrrbody!!! Minus being in a bad mood, I'm so excited it's the weekend! My *favorite* hip hop class is tonight then it's on to the boozin to get myself out of this horrible mood.  wooohooo! But now it's time to link up with Lauren for FITB Friday!

1.   My idea of pure perfection would be    a vacation from my life right now      .

2.    Love       makes the world go 'round.

3.  If it weren't for    horrible communication skills    I'd   be in a much better mood today .

4.  Bloggers are   my favorite. I love creepin' on people. I need to know what's goin on in everyone's lives .

5.  If I had   a million dollars     I'd buy you   and I a trip to wherever the hell we want. Girls only. No boys. and lots and lots of alcohol.

6.  I'm glad it's Friday because     I get to sleep in the next two days and do WHATEVER I PLEASE. :-)    .

7.  Something I'm excited about is     my friend Brook's wedding in October. I will get to see my favorite, beautiful, sorority sisters that I miss so much. It can't get here soon enough.   .

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Just another manic Monday!

What a whirlwind today was. My my my how I despise Mondays. BUT in other good news, I'm hoping these next two weeks fly by so it can finally be time for my moms visit to PDX!!!!!!!!! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I have a lot on the calendar for this week... and next week is our District meeting for work followed by a day of TM training. (Which will end up being a drunk fest  afterwards no doubt.. bonus!) I love the team I work with. Everyone is so much fun and supportive of each other. It's great! But also sad cuz we only get together every other month. :-( but none-the-less I'm excited for this week and next but mostly for my mom and Marty's arrival!!!

So let me give you a little recap of what's been going on in Portland

1. Jessica has finally grown up. Yes everyone the day has finally arrived when Jessica stopped spending money on herself and has spent it all on her home. I never thought I would actually enjoy spending my hard earned money on things other than alcohol, clothes, and food, but here I am all grown up and surprising myself. I mean, let's not kid ourselves here, I've still spent plenty of money on myself but I'm just being more generous to my home now. :-) My favorite thing I've put up so far is this little picture of my dad from 1990. I think he just looks so cute in it.

What a cute lil captain!
It's nowhere near ready for real pictures to be posted. Those will have to wait until after Mom comes to help decorate but it's definitely getting cuter day by day. I love our little house. Or as Tim so preciously drew:
Our Happy Home :-)
I seriously love that kid like nobody knows. He's warms my heart and sometimes I just want to punch him square in the face.... that's love! ;-)

2. Lily is slowly, keyword: SLOWLY, improving on her training. We go for walks more frequently now so she's getting better on a leash but she still stops sometimes and I end up kicking her or tripping which really pisses me off. Today we worked on laying down. It was a slow process but she finally got it a couple of times... hey! practice makes perfect.

3. Still have no friends. I'm hoping that by joining the dance studio I'll meet someone there. Ugh my social life is so depressing. I couldn't even tell you the last time I got all done up for a night on the town. SOMEONE COME VISIT ME AND LET'S GO PARTYYYYYYYYY. My alcohol tolerance is slowly but surely going down and I need to be in tip top shape for the Perry/ Bailey wedding in October.

Well, that's all I got for now folks. Make it a great week!

Fill in the Blank Friday!

Linking up again this Friday with Lauren for Fill in the Blank Friday!!!!!

1.   My most favorite birthday was       my 21st. Just me and mom in Vegas. It was awesome considering we had been planning it since I was 16   .

2.  My worst birthday was    my 17th. I had just gotten in HUGE trouble for throwing myself a birthday party a couple of weeks before while my parents were out of town. I was grounded and didn't get a single thing. I was pissed.  .

3.  My favorite birthday memory is     the year (i was maybe 6 or 7) my mom threw me a carnival theme party for me and my friends. My  birthday is around halloween so everyone wore their costumes. (I was a kitty, go figure... rawr) It was awesome! We had hay bails, bobbin for apples, a bounce house, face painting, EVERYTHING carnival related. She went all out and it was so much fun .

4.  The best birthday present I've ever received was   my first car. 2002 Black Chevy Z71 tahoe. 4" lift with 18" chrome rims, in-dash pop out dvd player, subs. My goodness she was a beauty. I loved her and still do. It was my dream car

5.  The  best birthday present I've ever given was      I wasnt the only one giving it, but my mom and I planned a surprise 70'th birthday for my grandma last year. We even had my aunt, uncle and cousin sneak in from Georgia for her. She cried, I cried, it was so fun  .

6.  Birthdays are       the only day you can bitch and get away with it :-)  .

7.  My favorite age so far has been       23. I graduated college, got a job, got a raise/promotion before 6 months, met the man of my dreams, got the cutest puppy ever, AND escaped the heat of Texas. Yeah I mean, I guess 23 has been pretty cool
Dinner and movie time now with Tim-a-licious... Yeah Tim, I hope you read this and shake your head cuz THAT JUST HAPPENED!

Happy Weekend Y'all!!!

Letting it all out...

I'm not sharing this post via facebook/twitter because it is personal and I'm treating it more like a journal entry... so here goes nothing.... At least I know if you're reading this it's cuz you're a true follower ;-)

The last couple of weeks have been really hard on me. I've cried myself to sleep (more than once), gotten in a fight fight(s) with Tim, been disappointed countless number of times, and just been miserable all together. What the hell is wrong with me right? I'm normally sarcastic, cracking jokes, and the life of the party.... Well folks, when there is no party it's hard to be the life. I still have yet to meet anyone in this weird-ass city. No friends=No party.

Then, the main that's been bothering me is my brother. If you know Grady you know how immature, rude, crude, selfish, and stupid my brother is. This being said, since my parents divorced he has decided he is no longer going to talk to my mom because "When she walked out on my dad, she walked out on him too". THIS STATEMENT INFURIATES ME!!!!!!!!!!! First of all, it's a dumb reason to begin with. Second of all it couldn't be further from the truth. My mom has made numerous attempts to get Grady to go visit her or meet her for dinner. He never responds. He used to only call her if he needed alcohol or money and now he doesn't even do that anymore. But she still texts him EVERY THURSDAY saying "Hope your week is going good, I love you". He never responds. His behavior is absolutely childish and makes me so upset. My mom is crushed by him doing all of this. It's not fair to her. He wants to be pissed at her for divorcing my dad... that's just bullshit. My dad did a lot, and I mean A LOT, of horrible things over the past 20+ years and my mom was a friggin SAINT and stayed with him through it. While my dad was crushing my moms heart and hurting the family, my mom was putting on a strong face for Grady and I and did EVERYTHING for us. Birthday parties, field trips, vacations, christmas presents, dinner cooked every night, spoiled us rotten- my mom did it all! My dad could have cared less about any of that stuff when we were growing up... and now all of a sudden Grady wants to turn his back on my mom and completely cut her out of his life and is gonna live with my dad???? WHAAAAAAAAAAATTTT? Don't get me wrong I love my dad. He is one of the strongest people I know. He has overcome something that most people don't and I respect the shit out of him for that, but Grady isn't looking at the big picture he. And, it's not like you can have a normal, mature, conversation with Grady either. If you try to talk to him he just brushes you off  "WHATEVER JESSICA" "okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk" that's all you get out of Grady. It's starting to make me more upset than it is my mom. What if something happened tomorrow and this was how their relationship ended? It seriously is making me cry right now thinking about it. The 4 of us, yeah we're probably one of the strangest families out there, but we are were so close and it just makes me so upset to think how now that my family is broken as it is, it just became even more broken because my brother is an idiot. I'm crossing my fingers he comes to his senses sooner than later and it can go back to the way it used to be... kinda.

Moral of the story: I dont know what to do about my brother, I need a girlfriend here, and I miss my mom terribly and just wanna give her a huge hug right now and kick my brother in the balls. The end. Ugh, I still don't feel better and now just cried off mascara. FML
